Highs and Lows

Our original plan to leave for Texas was that we would leave on Tuesday the 9th of November. Kyle was planning on doing one last big workout with our brother-in-law, Josh before their big adventure race in Huntsville on Saturday. Leaving then, I would have plenty of time to get those last minute things done for the birthday party that Sunday. We caught a break and Kyle got Monday off so we left Friday evening after work. The morning we got up on Saturday to drive the rest of the way to Waco, we received a call from Kyle's mom telling him that his grandfather was in the hospital and was not doing well at all. We booked it over to Longview to say goodbye and be with the family. Papa rallied a tiny bit and hung on longer than we thought. We left for Waco Tuesday as he had slipped into a coma and there was nothing more we could do.

We hung out in Waco and introduced our children to the Baylor Bear.

Took rides on this awesome kiddie Escalade that my parents got the kids.




Wednesday night we got the call that he had passed away. We all know he is in a much better place right now with Jesus. He was an amazing guy and we will miss our Papa.
